Discovered South East Impressions this past weekend and what a fantastic surprise it turned out to be! ​We came in with a large group of 10, and from start to finish, the experience was top-notch. The ambience is amazing—perfect for family and friends getting together for a delicious meal. The service was absolutely excellent, handling our large table with ease. ​As for the food, we ordered 10 different dishes for each of us as well as the appetizers and almost everything was a massive hit. Nine out of the ten dishes were a solid 5/5, packed with authentic Malaysian and Singaporean, Thai food flavors. The only minor letdown was the Singaporean Noodles, which lacked a bit of punch and flavor compared to the rest of the feast. ​Overall, a stellar 4.5-star experience. The incredible food, atmosphere, and service definitely won us over. We will absolutely be back!

This was my first experience at Southeast Impression. My good friends invited my boyfriend and I out on a double date here tonight, and I was a bit hesitant to go as it was on the pricier end. In the end, we decided to go try it out. We were seated immediately (with a reservation). I was pleasantly surprised by the menu itself, there was a variety of options to choose from, some within our price range too (such as the curry options, fried rices, and noodle options)! The menu included beautiful photos of the dishes on the side, as well. Our table ended up ordering the Kway Teow Tom Yum, Singapore Chili Soft-shell Crab, Kapow Fried Rice, and Drunken Noodle. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was amazing. I’m a huge fan of Thai food, and I felt Southeast Impression definitely hit the spot :)

This spot is definitely a hidden gem! The food was full of flavor and everything we tried was really good. No complaints at all. A special thank you to our server, Madi, and her brother. They were both super friendly, attentive, and made the experience that much better. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. Overall, great food, great service, and a great experience. 10/10, I recommend checking this place out. I’ll definitely be back!

Good ambience and food. The chicken larb appetizer was amazing—full of flavor and kick. The pandan creme brûlée was delightful, not too sweet. Mutton curry was perfectly slow cooked, and Singapore noodles were okay, but a bit dry for my liking. Overall, great dining experiencing!

I was excited to visit this spot. There aren’t as many restaurants in Northern Virginia that specialize in a large variety of Southeastern dishes. I liked that there are a lot of different dishes from each of the countries so I could try a new dish I’ve never had before. All the dishes had a lot of flavor and some spice for a kick. Everything was cooked perfectly and the fried chicken wasn’t oily. Note that there are bones in the fried chicken. The portion size is also pretty good. Be sure to reserve ahead of time; it gets crowded. There is some parking in the garage next to the restaurant as well as the garage by Giant.
